Refund Policy
Cant Get Away Investigations ("Company," "we," "us") is a professional investigative services provider. Due to the nature of investigative work, time allocation, resource deployment, and information access, all services are subject to the following refund policy, which aligns with our signed Client Services Agreement.
1. Case Activation & Non‑Refundable Fees
Once a case is activated, no refunds will be issued. Case activation occurs when any of the following take place:

Payment is received and the case is opened

Investigator time is scheduled or assigned

Research, database access, surveillance planning, or record requests begin
-
Third‑party or back‑office services are requested
All retainers, deposits, and activation fees are non‑refundable once a case is activated, regardless of outcome.
2. Investigative Services
Investigative services are billed based on time, effort, expertise, and resource allocation, not guaranteed results. Therefore:

No refunds are issued for completed or partially completed investigative work

No refunds will be issued due to lack of desired outcome, inability to locate a subject, or insufficient available data

Client dissatisfaction with findings does not constitute grounds for a refund
3. Surveillance Services
Surveillance services are strictly non‑refundable once scheduled or initiated, including but not limited to:

Field deployment

Travel time
-
Equipment setup
-
Standby or cancelled surveillance within 24 hours of scheduled start
Weather, subject behavior, counter‑surveillance, or subject inactivity do not qualify for refunds.
4. Records Retrieval & Court Documents
Fees paid for court records, background checks, database searches, or document retrieval are non‑refundable, including when:

A court, agency, or third party delays processing

Records are unavailable, sealed, expunged, or restricted
-
Requests remain pending beyond expected timelines
Processing timelines are dependent on courts and third‑party entities and are outside of our control.
5. Client‑Initiated Cancellation
If a client requests cancellation before case activation, a refund may be issued minus administrative and processing fees.
If cancellation occurs after activation, no refund will be provided. Any unused retainer balance may be applied to future services at the Company’s discretion.
6. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Clients agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for services rendered or activated under contract. Any chargeback attempt:

Will be contested with signed contracts, logs, reports, and evidence of work performed

May result in immediate termination of services

May incur additional administrative, legal, and recovery fees
7. No Guarantees
Cant Get Away Investigations does not guarantee results, findings, or outcomes. Investigative work depends on available information, subject behavior, legal limitations, and third‑party cooperation.
8. Exceptions
Refunds are issued only if required by law or if the Company determines, at its sole discretion, that services were not initiated.
9. Agreement to Policy
By submitting payment, signing an agreement, or authorizing services, the client acknowledges and agrees to this Refund Policy in full.
